Getting Good Information About Used Cars

without comments

It really can be very important to get the correct information about used cars if you are thinking about buying one. There are many sources that will claim to offer good advice in this regard, but some of this won’t be worth paying any attention to. And in relation to resources online, you really will find that there is a bit mix of good and bad information. Here are just a few tips for getting the right information on used cars.

- A lot of people fail to critically read things they see on the web. They forget that anybody can put anything on the web and just because you come across and article online it doesn’t mean that it is credible. Always check sources and make sure that the website you are reading the information from is a reputable one. If you think that what you are reading sounds similar to an advertisement then this is probably what it really is.

- If the used car website you are looking at does not look professional then be wary of it. Good online sellers will make sure that their website looks professional because they know that this is how selling will be done in the future. Some of the less reliable used car sites will still have cars advertised that were sold long ago thus wasting your time.

- If you are looking for used car buying tips then there are plenty of ‘how to’ articles out there. The right information is something that you are definitely going to need to make your purchase easier. You may be able to find articles that have been written by car dealers and these are great because they give you an idea of how the whole process works from the other side.

- Don’t forget to check out the used car magazines these remain popular and are often full of great advice.

How To Make More Money When You Sell A Used Car

without comments

There are a number of things that you can do if you want to make more money when it comes to selling a used car. A lot of people end up making so little from selling their old vehicle that it hardly seems worth the effort. But most of the time it would have been possible for these people to make money by just keeping their wits about them. What follows are just a few tips that will help you get more money when selling used cars.

- Don’t just accept the first offer you are given as this is unlikely to be the best one. Take your time to see what other offers are out there. If you seem too desperate to sell you won’t get as much money for your old vehicle.

- When it comes to a trade in, it is more common to get less than you would get if you sold the car privately but this is not always the case. Many dealers know that you may be willing to accept an insultingly low price for your used car to avoid the hassle of having to sell it yourself.

- Before you attempt to sell your old car, you should make sure that you have it in good condition. It is quite amazing the number of people that don’t even bother to clean up their vehicle before taking it to a potential buyer. You are more likely to get more for your car if it looks good than you would if it was a dirty mess.

- When it comes to selling your car privately, never be afraid to ask for your top price. Obviously the buyer will haggle with you on the price so asking for the most you can is the best way to get more for your car. You should always have too prices in your head; the ideal realistic amount you would like to get and the minimum you are prepared to sell for.

Types Of Exotic Cars

without comments

Different Types of Exotic Cars

There are many different types of exotic cars that one can find in the market. Some exotic cars are from luxury car makers and some are cars that are pimped in to an exotic ride. However the ride may be a pimped one or a luxury car manufactured by an established brand; the exotic cars have their own aura and elegance as well as style quotient that is hard to beat by any other car. This is the reason why they are hugely popular all over. There are various types of cars that come in the category of exotic vehicles like convertibles, luxury sedans, etc. however not all of these are exotic. Among the luxury car makers, cars from Lamborghini, BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, Porsche, jaguar, etc. make the most exotic of the cars.

Convertibles are some of the most exotic of the cars available in the market. The very fact, that these cars are convertible, gives them the exotic look and features. These are very good to explore landscapes and even to enjoy time out with friends. Apart from convertibles luxury saloons are very popular as exotic cars among the people. The classiest of the luxury sedans radiate an elegance that is unique to them. No matter where you are, while riding in one of these you are sure to turn heads of the people for it’ll be something they don’t often get to see.

Sport cars and Coupes are also very famous among those who are fans of exotic vehicles because they perfectly fit the definition of exotic cars. These cars have high speed and weigh very little which gives them a huge acceleration. Some SUVs are also known for being exotic cars. How To Get The Most From Trading In Your Used Car

without comments

Trading in used cars often means settling for a lot less money than you were expecting. You might actually find that the amount you are offered is an insulting amount. When it comes to trading in your used car, the following tips should help you to get more money.

- It is recommended that you ask for the price that the dealer is willing to pay for the car rather than how much they will give you as a trade-in. This might sound like the same thing but it isn’t; for some reason a lot of dealers will offer less money for trading in a car then they would for actually purchasing the car strange but that is the way it works.

- Don’t approach any dealer until you have a good idea about how much your old car is worth. You can find this out by doing a bit of research online or by reading the auto journals. If you have a price in your head of how much similar cars to yours are selling for then it is highly unlikely that a dealer will be able to fob you off with a stupid price. If a dealer thinks you are in the know then he is likely to offer you a little bit more respect.

- Don’t be afraid to walk away if the dealer is offering a price which is too low. If the dealer thinks that you will close the deal with a better price for your trade in, you will usually find they will negotiate on the price because they will be so desperate to sell.

- Most dealers will have to values in mind; the amount they want to give you and the amount they will be prepared to give you your job is to get the later.

- Make sure that your vehicle is looking in good condition when you approach the dealer don’t give them any excuse to offer a low price.

Whenever you happening to be looking for used cars for sale, it’s always best to carry out a proper research ahead of time. Researching allows you to find the very best used cars for the category you are looking for. When your research is done, you could very well end up with a great used cars for sale bournemouth or even a used cars for sale chester.

Nissan Maxima A Refined Car

without comments

The first thing that strikes you about the Nissan Maxima is its refinement & smoothness, with very little intrusion from any source on quiet conversation in the comfy cabin. It feels and looks well built and sits solidly, almost heavily, on the road.

The engine is a delightful unit, although it doesn’t pull the car off the line with any astonishing degree of urgency, and is perfect for comfortable cruising.

It is not a car designed to push hard along a country road. Although it maintains its line as requested by the direct and well weighted steering, the body roll and lack of seat support — especially with the leather trim — detracts from the experience.

The interior is well finished and everything falls easily to hand and foot. There is plenty of storage and space for, and the car lacks little equipment. The Maxima builds substantially on the attributes of its predecessor and does it with the added benefit of some visual appeal. It has also been given a substantial power boost, courtesy of the 500cc bigger, 3.5-litre V6, Three-quarter, side and rear views are its best vantage points, because with big tall headlights book-ending a wide grille, the front end visage makes the car look kind of skinny. It’s hardly a radical design, but it certainly makes it more contemporary and appealing.

The shape pitches the car into a broader potential market that may get Europhiles looking at it, as well as those who want solid, reliable and affordable Japanese prestige.

Inside, there is a greater departure from the traditional and it works nicely in conjunction with a cabin that delivers a very comfortable, quiet and refined ambience.

There is no doubting the Maxima is a comfortable car to drive and ride in. It has a suspension tune that has deliberately eschewed any degree of ‘sportiness’, despite what might be hinted at by the more dynamic visual design.

The Volvo S60R & TheV70R

without comments

When looking at the Volvo S60R and the Volvo V70R the technical tour de force of the Rs is not the brakes but rather Volvo’s Active Performance Chassis. Combining the new FOUR-C damping control with all-wheel drive, standard Servotronic speed-sensitive power-steering and DSTC (Dynamic Stability and Traction Control), the APC sets the Rs apart from their brothers in terms of prowess and day-to-day comfort.

FOUR-C constantly checks suspension damping rates (at up to 500 times per second). It can also adjust all four shock absorbers independently in 5-15 milliseconds in accordance with the programmed parameters of the chosen setting. Volvo’s electrically adjustable R-Line sports seats are standard fare and offer reasonable adjustment. In addition to seats, there’s plenty of leather and classy alloy at the touch points inside the cabin. The dash is handsome with its blend of alloy and blue faces. A trip computer is standard, as is an integrated phone.

The benefits of Volvo’s airbags, SIPS (side impact), WHIPS (rear impact) and rollover systems are well documented. Add to this a commitment to child safety and you end up with an executive express that’s fast and safe.
Commencing under the hood, the Rs get substantially revised 2.5lt five-cylinder motors. The all-alloy, long-stroke DOHC powerplants feature 20 per cent larger KKK blowers, dual air-to-air intercoolers, variable cam-timing (on inlet and exhaust cams) and redesigned 20-valve cylinder-heads.

Boasting 220kW and 400Nm of torque (from 1950-5250rpm) in manual form, the engines also receive modified sumps to maintain oil pick-up during high cornering loads. An over-rev function extends the engine redline by 300rpm to 6800rpm for up to three seconds when the going is really hot.

Transverse-mounted, the mills are matched to a new, short-throw six-speed manual gearbox or five-speed adaptive Geartronic autobox..

Braking hardware is as serious as the rest of the kit. Four-piston Brembo calipers are fitted on all 4 corners and grip 33cm ventilated discs (front 33mm thick; rear 28mm). According to Volvo, these brakes are comparable to those fitted to Porsche’s stunning Turbo coupe. Search Used Nissan Cars For sale Westmeath for a car that suits your needs.

The Renault Laguna Buy It Used

without comments

The Laguna was available as both a hatchback and station wagon, but at first only in Authentic mid-spec and Privilege upper-spec trim levels, and only with the 3.0-liter V6 engine. It has climate-control air-conditioning, cruise control, 16-inch alloy wheels and a trip computer.Nothing really was wrong with the 2.0-liter engine, and it did offer a manual gearbox (which the V6 didn’t). But buyers in that sector of the market wanted automatic transmissions, and the four-cylinder car dropped the ball by using a four-speed auto compared with the V6′s five-speed unit.So the V6 was the one to have, but it wasn’t perfect. The four-speed engine was smooth and refined, but it didn’t really offer a sporty level of acceleration.Cornering was relatively flat and the ride trod the middle ground between plush and controlled, but at the same time the Laguna managed some of that long-lost French magic-carpet quality. The genius of it all was the way it came together. It also confirmed the old view that Europe really does have some of the best suspension engineers around. But the thing that really should have carried the Laguna a bit further up people’s shortlists was its stunning safety rating. In independent testing, it was the world’s first car to achieve five stars out of five for occupant safety. It did so by combining a clever body structure with deformable zones with anti-lock brakes, dual front, side and curtain airbags, brake assist, brake-force distribution and seat-belt tensioners – in the base-model Expression with the four-cylinder engine. That five-star rating is probably the Laguna’s biggest-selling point as a second-hand car, even today. All that electronic gear inside is a potential source of heartache. Make sure everything works properly and then keep your fingers crossed. A garaged Laguna is the one to buy.

without comments

Fiat 500 – 500 times the fun

The Fiat 500 is one more addition to one of the biggest segment of car market the small car segment. It has a compact shell like body that is sporty but retro in looks. This gives it the most unique of the looks in the car available in the market. It has clear lens fog lamps. The circular headlights offer a lot more to its beauty on the whole. There is a sparkling cluster of tail lights in the rear. Integrated roof spoiler also adds a lot to the overall appeal of the coupe. The car itself is very trendy looking. It is a four seater that is sure to be a comfortable ride for the passengers.

The interior of Fiat 500 also make it different from all other vehicles available in the market. Fiat 500 has been built with a lot of research and engineering is well understood by looking at the proper utilization of the space in the car. It has a very well organized dash board. Neatly integrated instrument cluster along with the AC vent on the dash board save a lot of space while at the same time allowing the comfort. The car also has cd, radio and mp3 player. Two tweeters and four speakers are also attached to the audio systems. The upholstery of the cabin as well as the leather on the steering wheel that also has audio controls add few more positive points in its kitty.

Fiat 500 has a 1.3 litre diesel motor that is turbo charged. It has a power of 76 ps at 4000 rpm. The maximum torque offered by it is 145nm at 1500 rpm. The car goes from 0 to 100 in just 12.5 seconds which is a result of the CRMDI fuel system technology inculcated in the car. All in all it is a car that one can take for a long cruise or use for slow traffic of a city.

Renault Megane Authentique Striking And Individual

without comments

Buy Used Cars For Sale In Ireland

These days, Renaults look very striking and individual. They’re realistically priced, equipped to the eyeballs, and brimming with surprise-and-delight. Not to mention world-beating crash safety. No wonder the Megane is now Europe’s top-selling car.But does it drive like a French car should – decisive and well-weighted at the helm, flowing and adjustable around corners, and capable of blotting almost every bump on the road? Sort of. The Megane’s dynamic raison d’etre is definitely its relaxing ride. The big butt Renault can also lay claim to being a soft talker. Both tyre, wind, and suspension noise are all noticeable by their absence .While the Authentique’s 1.6 isn’t the quietest donk in existence, it has real spirit and determination, and the noise it emits is never offensive. The 1.6 Megane isn’t a ball of fire in flat-out fanging, but because it produces at least 90 percent of its maximum torque from 2000 to 5750rpm, driveability is excellent, and economy is damn impressive. The Renault grips strongly and has good body control, but it also has more understeer, and a less fluid transition to a nose-tightening tail drift .. Despite a pleasant tilt/reach steering wheel and reasonably accurate response to driver inputs, the Megane’s steering is the car’s single most disappointing aspect. But it partially makes amends through its smarty-pants interior. No, Megane doesn’t have the back-seat room you’d expect from such a long wheelbase & boot space suffers in lieu of its J-Lo-esque booty, but headroom and under-thigh support are impressive.Front seating is praiseworthy, too, with an excellent driving position and a quality seat, if not much side support. But it’s stuff such as the bins under the front-door armrests that will hold five CDs each, or the easily located seat controls at the front of the cushion, that highlights Renault’s attention to detail. Then there’s Megane’s class-leading standard equipment, its safety credentials, and, well, its uniqueness. Nothing looks like this car. And nothing could match it for features. If only it had real driver involvement, then we’d swoon.Search For Used Peugeot Cars For Sale. Get one you desire

The Mercedes Benz CLS Coupe A Hit

without comments

Buy Used Cars Ireland

Mercedes-Benz’s four-door ‘coupe’ has been one of the marque’s success stories…Flying in the face of some car industry pundits, Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class 4-door coupe sold more than 50,000 units worldwide .Launched internationally in October, the CLS has performed well above expectations, claims Mercedes-Benz. All models will be equipped with new designs of alloy wheels in 18-inch diameter for the CLS 500 and 17-inch diameter for all other variants — except the CLS 63 AMG with its 19-inch wheels. At the rear, the bumper cover lower edge has been dropped further and exhaust pipes are now trapezoidal-shaped, not the oval shape of the superseded model. Tail lights have been restyled and now feature LED illumination.Inside, the upgraded CLS features a three-spoke steering wheel, a revised instrument cluster with white-faced dials. A new generation of telematics function has been specified by the factory for the new model range.

The new system links the audio system — which automatically adjusts audio volume control according to road speed — with the Bluetooth interface. Different audio options have been upgraded with a new 5-inch colour screen and the Comand APS system features a 6.5-inch display. The audio system is now MP3-compatible and can play DVDs and CDs.The CLS is based on the E-Class saloon, but features a unique low-roof coupe-style body.“The positive response to the CLS-Class worldwide highlights the company’s role as a trendsetter in the development of new vehicle concepts and illustrates the success of the Mercedes-Benz product strategy,” said Horst von Sanden, managing director responsible for Mercedes Car Group.Demand for the four-door coupe is particularly high in the USA where 13,600 customers have opted to purchase the CLS since the model was launched there in January. The second largest market for the CLS is Germany, which accounts for more than 20 per cent of global sales. The most popular engine variant of the CLS-Class worldwide and is the CLS 500, which is the choice of more than 40 and 50 per cent of buyers respectively. The second most popular variant is the CLS 350, followed in by the CLS 55 AMG.
