Protocol For A Post Car Crash Scenario

without comments

Car accidents, whether minor or severe will leave you quivering. Despite these feelings of unease it is imperative that all involved remain coolheaded in order to record the incident events for insurance reasons. The calmer all those involved can be the easier it is to get the details of what occurred noted.

The first thing you should do is check that the parties in the accident are unharmed. The vehicles, in relation to the street should also be checked. It should be made clear that no vehicle or person is in imminent danger while taking down information regarding the incident.

Its important that during this phase you do not admit liability for the accident, even if the cause was your fault, it will be up to the insurance company to apportion blame once they have received all of the details from the accident. However by admitting that you were at fault it will directly affect the claim.

The information you need to take from the other parties involved are names, addresses and telephone numbers, their insurance policy numbers and insurance companies and the owner of the vehicle if they are not the registered keeper.

It is also good idea to ask to see their driver’s licence and insurance documents as well, because not everyone is as honest as you would hope. You will also need to record information about the crash scene, and a camera phone is ideal for this situation, however if you do not have one a detailed sketch will do.

Make notes about the circumstances leading up to the crash, for example did the driver indicate correctly, were all their car bulbs working, was another driver involved who has now driven off. Also record the weather and road surface condition and take the names and contact details of any witnesses.

Legal requirements differ at an accident scene. If the accident was minor and the vehicles are still drivable, you do not have to involve the police. However, it may be best to report the incident to have more documentation of the accident or in case an injury presents itself. Any time an injury occurs the police must be summoned.

You should also call the Police if it was caused by an illegal manoeuvre, if you suspect the other driver of drinking or not being legally insured, if the collision has caused significant damage leaving the vehicles involved un-roadworthy, or if the accident has caused damaged to the road, signs or safety barriers.

After you obtain the necessary information to make a claim you can go about your day. You will need to call the insurance company to provide them with the information.

Wheelchair Access Vehicles: The Careful Buyers Guide

without comments

The very purpose to buy a mobility vehicle is to provide practical transport to a disabled person who would otherwise find it very difficult to get about. There are a lot of choices when it comes to mobility vehicles, but they can be narrowed down to a few. From the access point of view, the rear door access type is the most popular after which is the side door entry type. Both safety as well as comfort are considered when converting a vehicle into a mobility vehicle.

Out of all the variety of mobility vehicles that are available on the market, the small mobility van is proving to be one of the most popular types. Due to the increase in demand for these speciality vehicles, the major car manufacturers are producing custom made vehicles.

A mobility vehicle has a lot of features many of which you will not find on an ordinary car. The access ramp is probably the most obvious of features that any mobility vehicle will possess. They come as two kinds. One is an electrically operated ramp and the other is operated by a winch mechanism. The ramps can access the vehicle from either the side or back depending on the vehicle construction. Lifts are also available in the larger mobility vehicles making entrance to the vehicle even easier.

They are usually well equipped with other facilities like wheel-chair tie downs, seat belts, sufficient lug space, etc which all helps the wheel chair passengers secure and comfortable while traveling. Usually all the wheelchair accessible vehicles have the power assisted steering and a few have automatic transmission too. Many dealers provide additional accessories like power sensors if we are ready to invest extra money for that. The narrow seats are also provided if needed, which are usually meant for children or for short journeys for the adults who are traveling along with the disabled person.

The mobility vehicles are found in two types. One is which allows the wheel chair passenger to drive independently. Those wheel chair accessible vehicles usually equipped with the custom controls and several other features, helps the disabled person to drive the vehicle very comfortably. The second type is passenger wheelchair accessible vehicle which allow other passenger to sit and travel along with the disabled passenger.

Another special feature of a mobility vehicle is the raised roof or lowered floor of the vehicle that is needed to permit entry to the vehicle by the disabled person. If the disabled person is particularly tall, then special attention will need to be given while selecting the right kind of mobility vehicle. Width wise, most mobility vehicles will be okay as almost all wheelchairs are made to an industry standard.

As you can tell, there is a lot of thought needed when looking to buy a mobility vehicle and the above is only an outline of what to consider. As purchasing a mobility vehicle outright is a big decision, leasing one may be an option that would be worth your while considering.

How To Get A Discount On Your Motorcycle Insurance

without comments

For the most part, those who love to get out on the open road on the back of motorcycle are likely to be folks who are free spirited and independent, and they typically don’t like to dwell on the downside of their motorcycle habit. But, one of the realities of life for people who intend to drive any type of vehicle on public roadways, whether it has two wheels, four wheels or more, is vehicle insurance, this also includes motorcycle insurance.

Motorbike riders may not want to consider this but, the fact of the matter is that motorcyclists just can’t ride the open roads without proper insurance on their bike. In most states, people cannot even purchase a new or used motorcycle without insuring it, just the same as with a car or truck. This needs to be seriously considered if you are financing the motorcycle, then there is no question that the lender will require the purchaser to carry liability, collision and comprehensive insurance.

Just like all other types of insurance policies that you can buy, such as health insurance, home insurance, automobile insurance, life insurance and such, you can’t go wrong to invest some time in comparing the types of policies available, as well as the insurance rates. When shopping for motorcycle insurance, you can go to one of the many instant insurance quote websites and quickly and easily get comparable quotes from a number of companies that are eager to get your business.

Even if you intend to shop around, this is the best place to start because you will more than likely be able to get a discount if your motorcycle is covered under the same policy as your other vehicles, as opposed to getting a stand alone insurance policy for the bike. Once you know what the additional cost will be to add your motorcycle to an existing policy, you then have a baseline to use as you commence your comparison shopping.

If you have internet access, then one of the best ways to quickly find and compare motorcycle insurance premiums is to go to one of the many websites where you can get an instant insurance quote from a variety of different companies at once. When making comparisons at such sites, be sure to scrutinize the details of the policies, such as coverage limitations and deductibles, before deciding on which insurance to purchase.

Lambretta for Sale Checking guide for purchasing a Lambretta

without comments

The first thing to check for when buying a Lambretta for sale, is to research the model being sold. Prices can differ change as can the quality and condition of the Lambretta for sale. When looking for a Lambretta for sale it is important to consider this so you find a Lambretta for sale at the best price possible.

There are other things to look at when buying a Lambretta for sale

1. To maintain speed and originality check the engine and frame numbers match that of the log book that come with the Lambretta for sale. Chances are the engine of the Lambretta for sale may have been changed to improve performance or because of cracks in casings. This could mean the Lambretta for sale is illegal, and may be confiscated or crushed.

2. Check the Lambretta for sale has no rot and rust. In most cases any damage to a Lambretta for sale will be instantly visible, but it is possible for rotting to occur at the top of side panels. Behind the number plate should be checked for rust on the Lambretta for sale. An Old Lambretta for sale is also quite likely to have various bumps and dents to the bodywork.

3. If the top or bottom of a headset is damaged it can be hard to find a corresponding replacement for either part, so check the Lambretta for sale has an intact headset. The colours may be different or they may not line up properly. You can tell by looking at the headlight rim on the Lambretta for sale closely.

4. When observing the Lambretta for sale, you should always check the petrol tank for rust damage. It the most common internal problem with a Lambretta for sale but easily fixed. You can check the petrol tank on the Lambretta for sale by taking off the lid and running your finger along the inside top. If the inside feels rough then it is likely there is a rust problem. If it seems to be major then you may have to fit a new petrol tank to the Lambretta for sale.

5. It is worth, when buying a Lambretta for sale, to check it’s most current MOT as this will have information of wheel alignment. If this is not available, then it can be checked with a straight piece of wood. The wheels of the Lambretta for sale should each sit flat with the edge of the wood. If not then the Lambretta for sale could be suffering from worn engine mounts.

6. It is hard to check the engine of a Lambretta for sale without it being stripped in a workshop, but you can check that all the nuts and bolts are in place/tightened and for worn threads. Check the engine side casing of the Lambretta for sale. The threads can deteriorate due to removal if it has been repaired/modified to often. Also certain makes of Lambretta for sale will not have interchangeable engines. So make sure the Lambretta for sale comes with an engine compatible with the model

All of these points should help you find the Lambretta for sale for you. Make sure you test drive the Lambretta for sale. Do this on a normal road and for long enough to get all the parts of the Lambretta for sale warmed up to check it all runs appropriately. Some of these aspects may not have been noticed upon observing the Lambretta for sale.

Will Half Water Half Gas Cut Costs?

without comments

Half water half gas is one of the most effective ways of lowering the cost of gasoline at the moment. And although the name sounds a little bit ridiculous, the concept behind this technology actually does work. There have been numerous people who have made videos which you can find on places like YouTube, showing you proof that the system works.

Because of the fact that the world’s peak oil is probably never going to increase, we really need to find a way to lower the cost of petrol and in fact we need to find a way to completely get rid of using petrol at all. It’s because of this hydrogen car kit technology is so important.

Half water half gas, is not a new concept by any means, and in fact it is very similar to other products that come out over last year such as water for gas. The difference with half water half gas, is that it is much more professionally put together, and also includes video instructions to go along with the guide, giving you step-by-step instructions.

Because half water half gas supplies the video instructions almost, many people feel much more comfortable with the process. Because for many people simply reading a text instruction format is very difficult to follow, and they have difficulty understanding the whole process.

In terms of ease of implementation, although the different guides claim to have “very unique” systems, they are all basically using the same process. Only with slight variations. So Half Water Half Gas does turn out to be pretty easy on the implementation side of things. The only way you would find it difficult is if you had absolutely no idea how to do any maintenance on your car. And in that case I would recommend getting a professional mechanic or at least someone who really knows a little about basic mechanics to install it for you.

So if anyone is reading this and thinking about installing a hydrogen car kit, just think about the amount of money you will be of save, if you are saving up to 60% on your gasoline bill every week. That in itself should be enough motivation for most people to give hydrogen technology a chance.

For what you are paying for this guide, I think the value is pretty good. I think that almost anyone with the intention of installing their own hydrogen conversion kit would be pleased with this product. That being said all of these products are sold through ClickBank, and in my own experience when I have not been happy with something I bought it was a very minor deal to just get my money back.

Whether or not you decide to invest in a hydrogen car kit technology or not for yourself, I highly suggest that you at least have a look at the half water half gas product, as it could really open your eyes to the possibilities that you have with this technology, and it is the best out of a bunch of different products in the same market.

Scotland Camper Hire

without comments

Visiting Scotland and hiring a camper van or motorhome is becoming a popular choice for people within and for those who travel to the UK. The reasons are many, but may include the rugged coastline, open wilderness, high mountains and stunning lochs. Here are some routes that take you to the Hebridean islands.

Part of camper van travel excitement is that from Scotland you can easily get to the Hebrides, islands that provide great campsites. From Glasgow you can reach one of the main Hebridean islands through Oban. A 3 hour journey from Glasgow is all it takes to reach Oban. Plenty of time to acquaint yourself with the motorhome. One of the highlights in this region is Loch Lomand, along with a choice of overnight camp sites. Taking time to breath in the fresh air and relax is the key to enjoying the adventure.

A great island to visit is that of Mull. A real Scottish wilderness with some amazing scenary. Home to the famous Golden Eagles, you may also see otters, Minke whales and dolphins around the islands. Once you’ve parked your van in one of the six campsites on Mull, it’s time to explore and take a walking tour of the peaceful hills of the island or discover the rocky bays to the north.

Moving onwards, take the Mallaig road and stop off at your leisure. Arisaig is where you will find most of the camp sites and you could spend a few days here to really see all that is available. Surrounded by stunning scenery, this area is a must see for all who visit the Hebridean islands.

To complete the tour, take your camper van to Skye by ferry, don’t worry it’s just a small crossing that will get you to another history laden island. Visit the Tallisker distillery or the many sights of Gaelic history. Leaving Skye, you can head across the bridge back to Glasgow the starting point of our tour.

The drive back to Glasgow will be the cherry on the cake. High mountains and yes, walls are among the impressive sights you’ll see on the way back. This is a real stop for camper vans, before you enter Loch Lomond Park once more. For first time camper van hirers, this is an excellent route to introduce you into the freedom lifestyle and one that will stick in the memory for a long time to come.
