Radio Controlled Vehicles – An Enjoyable Hobby
If someone likes radio controlled hobbies, they almost certainly started with a car. This is because, unlike a boat or a plane, vehicles will not usually be completely destroyed if the operator makes a big mistake or the engine fails. It is fairly straightforward to construct a basic radio controlled car, but as you are doing it, you will realize that there is a vast amount to be learned.
As you acquire this knowledge, you can make use of advanced techniques to create vehicles that are tougher, faster and more efficient than your previous efforts. You can either piece one together in a few days, or you can spend months creating an amazing auto which has superb speed and handling.
If you are just starting out with remote controlled hobbies, it is almost certainly wise to buy a pre-made, RTR (ready-to-run) remote controlled auto. It is possible to buy these in toy or modeling shops just about anywhere. They may be sluggish and clumsy and they may not gratify your technological requirements, but they are still a good place to start. Have fun with it for a couple of days, and then take it apart. Examine the way the motors are attached to the wheels, and look at the general architecture of the auto.
Once you have grasped it all, you will have much better picture when you begin to build your own. You may even be able to use a couple of parts, such as the body of the vehicle or the radio control apparatus. The motors will almost certainly not be as powerful as you will desire.
After you have acquired this indispensable basic knowledge of the way that radio controlled autos operate, you can start on whatever your next undertaking is going to be. The ambition for most people is to build a model vehicle from wood or plastic, install the electrical components, paint it, affix stickers, and get it looking as good and running as well as possible. Others may want to build an incredibly fast remote controlled car in order to show off to friends. But no matter what you want to do, you will only be able to achieve it, if you take it one small step at a time and learn everything there is to be known about remote controlled hobbies.
However, there are many different means that can assist you become an authority in remote controlled hobbies. You will almost certainly spend a lot of time researching all the different details that you require. You can find information and even tutorials on the Internet. For more detailed questions, you could always go to community groups and forums. This is where enthusiasts from all over the world meet together on the Internet to talk about their hobby, support each other, and brag about their latest achievements. These groups welcome newcomers, particularly if you are polite when asking your question.
Radio controlled vehicles can also enter competitions. If you want to put your auto up against those of other aficionados, there are various races and shows around the world. A quick Internet search will show where next event is. You could make a weekend trip out of it and it will be worth it to be around others who are as passionate as you about what you are doing. These events may include races, or they may just be a get-together to share hints and tricks with other radio hobbyists. You will be amazed at the quantity of information that you can learn from the people who go to these dos.
It may be daunting at first to start a new hobby, since there is probably heaps of stuff that you probably know nothing about. However, the best thing to do is just get started with the basics and learn steadily.
Owen Jones, the author of this article, writes on many subjects, but is currently involved with gas remote control cars. If you have an interest in model or toy rc vehicles, please go over to our website now at 1/5 Scale RC Cars

How Does A Power Car Radio Antenna Work
Antenna is very essential for a radio. The air surrounding us in very silent. The activities that are electromagnetic cannot be captured by the ears of normal human being. All the waves including the one from TV, radio, communication through wireless and even transmissions of the internet are in this environment where we all live, sleep and eat. The human body is not affected by this kind of electromagnetic waves. And hence it does not have the capability to sense its travel. So it is very essential to use a device that could capture all these signals. But how do auto radio antennas work?
In this paragraph we will understand what is an antenna.Human ear cannot perceive radio waves directly. This is because they fall in the electromagnetic range which cannot be picked up by a normal human ear. Then we may have a doubt how the information gets transmitted especially through radio and television. We may also have doubts regarding wireless communications like cell phone and transmission of data through Internet. But it is possible to catch these waves by a device. It is this device we name as an antenna.
Radio antennas receive electromagnetic waves. These look like tubes made of stainless steel because they conduct well. They also have the property of expansion and contraction at a desired height.
The olden model cars still have a antenna which resembles the one that can be seen in the old hand usage type of radio. They are made up of thick and long steels rather than a small thin one being used these days. They are also very strong and heavy. In the case of self radios that are self contained there is same location for both this and then the tuner of the radio but this is not the case with new age cars.
A connection should be established between this antenna and the tuner. So for that one needs to use a very thick wire that can be buried in the body of the car. There should be absolutely no interference as with any phone or any other connections.
Some radio systems are used to play in car. The antennas used in these devices are distinct from those used in normal radios. The wire connecting the antenna and the radio has to be protected from the outside waves.
Nowadays technology has become so advanced technology like presence of gears in the tubes of the antenna. These tubes are operated by means of a motor. This is to receive the signal by the antennas when the radio is being switched on. There are other differences also between stationary radio antenna and that of a radio antenna of a car that is moving because the steel used in construction of antenna in car is more stronger and rigid. Some vehicles are also trying to use the same technology used in mobile phone for transmission of radio wave signals. However this is still in experimentation stage only.
The article how do auto radio antennas work would have given you basic ideas on the types and working of antennas. The discovery of such new things not only makes our life simple, but also makes us realize that man can do wonders with his small brain. The creation will result only after a series of failures. It is the combined effort of the mind and the brain which makes people work on new things.

American Biker X And The Alpha Biker Join Forces To Protect The American Biker
I have been active in the Motorcycle Community for many years. I’ve stood up for Biker’s Rights. As a freelance writer, I’ve written about Clubs, the Community, and the Brotherhood of the Biker World. I’ve also been involved in many Biker related events either as a DJ or MC.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to combine all of this into a Biker Style Radio Show. A show where I could present and discuss topics that are important to Bikers as well as educate the outside world about the Biker Lifestyle and what it means to be a part of the Biker Community.
I knew it was going to be tough. I spoke with some local radio stations about my idea but, they either wanted a lot of money or they weren’t interested. They claim that the “Biker Market” is a niche market and Radio Stations want shows that appeal to everyone.
In the summer of 2008, a guy from Florida called the Paisan, sent me an email stating he had read some of my articles and would like to interview me on his internet radio show, Sunday’s Sauce Pot. I gave him a call and after speaking to him, I agreed to be on the show.
I did the show with Paisan and his partner Danny Dawg. It was an unforgettable show and I had a great time. I kept in touch with them and we soon became friends. I told them how I had been thinking about doing my own show. They were only too happy to explain to me how I could have my own internet radio show.
Since the show would be broadcast over the internet, I was a little skeptical. After doing some research, I realized that Internet Radio is an up and coming medium. Even now, some radio manufactures are making radios devoted to broadcasting Internet Radio.
I quickly realized that Internet Radio is more suited to what I wanted to present than traditional Radio due to the fact that I could broadcast my show to all over the world instead of being limited like I would be if I broadcast out of a local station.
The other thing that appealed to me was the fact that people could listen to my show any time they wanted to. Bikers like to travel. With Internet Radio, it doesn’t matter where you are as long as you have access to an Internet Radio or Computer and WI-FI or broadband, you can catch the show. The fact that you didn’t need a lot of money to start up was also very appealing. With a little help from my friends, I went to work. Finally, after 10 years of dreaming, I was On the Air. The Biker Lowdown Show was born.
The road to success was a little bumpy at first. With the addition of Chuck (Alphabiker.com) as my co-host, the road got a little smoother. With both of us researching information, we are able to share much more with our ever increasing audience. The addition of a website to compliment the show adds to the experience. The hard work of my webmaster Bjorn has resulted in a website that offers Articles, Video’s, a Motorcycle Forum, and more.
I am sometimes amazed by the success of the show. Our Audience continues to increase each week. The Biker Lowdown Chat Room gets busier each week, letting listeners know they are really part of the show. Although we’ve come a long way, we’re still working hard at making the show even more entertaining and informative for all those who ride or dream of riding. We plan on hitting the road so that we can meet and talk with people and reward our listeners with T-Shirts, Bumper Stickers, and more.
Of course we couldn’t do it without the support of our listeners and sponsors whose donations make the show possible. To them, THANK YOU!
I invite everyone to check out the show at www.bikerlowdown.com, and let me know what you think and what topics you’d like to hear discussed.

Motorcycle Riders Divided Can Not Ride !!!
Many of the “facts” in this story are based on Legend and Myth as much of the history of the Motorcycle and it’s Culture was lost in the Great Rebellion of 2057.
Taken from a history book in the year 2095… Motorcycles And The Culture They Inspire 1868-2017
Motorcycles started out as steam engines strapped on to bicycles in 1868. Soon after the gas engine took its place and by the 1900′s there were Motorcycle shops and Dealers all over the World. For awhile, Motorcycle’s were simply used as transportation. In 1907, when Henry Fords, Ford Motor Company, released the Model-T at a price many could afford, the Motorcycle soon went from a necessity to a luxury item.
In the 1940′s, the Motorcycle Culture really took off. An organization called the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) held races and events all over the United States of America. In 1947 the AMA held an event in Hollister California. This event was attended by many of the AMA Racing Teams and Motorcycle Clubs. This event marks the beginning of the separation of Motorcyclists which eventually led to the end of Motorcycling in the year 2017. Newspapers, being what they where in 1947, got a hold of some pictures of Motorcyclists having fun at the event. The press decided to embellish the facts and transformed the story into a torrid tale of Bikers taking over a small town! More negative news stories soon followed. Soon after Hollywood began releasing movies that portrayed Motorcyclists as lawless and evil.
The American Motorcyclist Association, trying to end the bad press, responded by basically saying that the Newspapers had lied and that it was only 1% of the Motorcyclists that caused problems. This resulted in the first ripple in the Unity of the Motorcycle World and the Medias’ hatred of Bikers. Around the same time, the AMA began adding new requirements for motorcycles to be able to race in AMA sanctioned Races. Those whose motorcycles didn’t meet the new AMA requirements started their own Race Leagues. Because the new Race Leagues/Clubs were not AMA sanctioned, they soon became known as Outlaw Race Leagues/Clubs. Although many Bikers raced in both the AMA and Outlaw Leagues, another great separation had begun.
By the late 1960′s, the separation of the Motorcycle Community was becoming more evident. There were now three basic Motorcycle groups. The American Motorcycle Association, Outlaw/ 1%er Clubs(All 1%ers were Outlaws, but not all Outlaws were considered 1%ers) and Independent Riders. Over the years, the AMA continued to grow. In addition to racing, they began to champion Motorcycle Rights and Safety. As time went on, others formed independent groups whose goals were similar to that of the AMA. The inability or outright refusal of these groups to work together with each other, resulted in further separation of the Motorcycle Community and Culture.
In the 1970′s, rifts began to grow between some of the Outlaw/1% Clubs. By the 1990′s, the media had inflated these conflicts into stories that rivaled the tall tales of the old west. These tall tales where ment to invoked fear of the Outlaw/1% Clubs in the public. Everyone was lied to,. They were told to stay away from and fear all Outlaw/1% Clubs. The media began referring to Motorcycle Clubs as Motorcycle Gangs, a term meant to further instill fear into the heart of the Public. Stories and rumors began surfacing, claiming these “Gangs” were ruthless and would kill or maim people for little or no reason at all. By the early 21st Century, every minor conflict between Outlaw/1% Clubs was made into a book, made for TV movie, or docudrama. Titles like “Motorcycle Gang Wars In Your Back Yard” were common. Although real wars, conflicts, and suffering were occurring worldwide, the Corporate owned media chose to report fiction over fact.
In 2009, a conflict between two rival Clubs was captured on Video at a “Biker Build Off” event. The coverage by the media and negative publicity that followed was so overwhelming that in 2010, the United States Government passed a law banning all Outlaw/1% Clubs. In response, the Outlaw/1% Clubs put aside their differences and formed “Bikers United”. The Bikers fought back stating the law was unconstitutional and un-American. Even as late as 2010, Many Americans still clung to the misguided belief that they had rights and lived in a free Nation. The Bikers fought hard and came very close to winning, but without the support of the Motorcycle Rights Groups,The many other Clubs, and the Independent Riders, all of whom had been brainwashed into believing the Outlaw Clubs were criminal organizations, they were defeated.
Many of the Outlaw/1% Clubs tried to stay together. The Clubs went underground, but after many raids and constant Government harassment, they all but disappeared. In 2013, in an effort to ensure that the Outlaw/1% Clubs never returned, the Government decided to outlaw all Motorcycle Clubs and organizations. The AMA, the many Clubs and Motorcycle Rights Organizations United in an effort to battle the Governments oppression. They tried to use many of the same tactics and strategies that the Outlaw/1% Clubs used. Unfortunately, the Government was much smarter and stronger this time around. They had learned many lessons in their fierce battles with the Outlaw/1% Clubs, and they used what they had learned against the united Clubs and Organizations. With no Outlaw/1% Clubs left to assist them and without the support of the Independent Riders, the United Clubs and Organizations were defeated.
In 2015, the Government passed a law that made it illegal to even look like an Outlaw on a Motorcycle. The Independent Riders banned together to try and fight the law, but by this time their numbers were few and there wasn’t anyone left to show them how to fight for their rights. After a brief protest, they too were soundly defeated. In 2017, What was now a “Global Government”, in its infinite wisdom, decided that Motorcycles posed a danger to the public. They passed a law banning the manufacturing of Motorcycle’s and their use! They ordered that all existing Motorcyclesbe destroyed. This brought to an end, the History of Motorcycles. It would take until the year 2093 before anything even close to resembling a Motorcycle reappeared.
As a Historian looking back at the History of Motorcycles and the Culture it created, it amazes me how powerful the Motorcycle Culture could have been had they not let every little thing separate them. Instead of embracing something they all had in common and working together to protect it, they instead let their differences, the media, and the government divide them. By the time the Bikers realized how much they were connected and needed each other, it was too late. Their numbers were certainly sufficient to achieve victory, but their failure to come together as Brothers and Sisters and work for the common good ultimately caused their demise. Had they been victorious, it may have been enough to stop all of the oppression and tyranny that soon followed. History is full of stories just like this one, over and over again. The ones who love and honor Freedom the most are taken down first and the rest soon fall like dominoes. Until the Great Rebellion of 2057, we as a Global Society did not realize how important it was to put aside our differences. It may have taken awhile, but we finally figured it out…Just in time!

Live To Ride Ride To Love
When I received the Novel “Iron Horse Rider” from the Author Adelle “Legs” Laudan I have to admit I was expecting a book about a Biker fighting and causing trouble. You know your Typical Biker Bad Boy Story. What I received was something I was not expecting at all.
The Novel Tells the story of a hardcore biker named Shane, Shane had always kept women at arms length and showed them no emotion, That was until he met Kelly. Try as he might this biker who had always kept to himself could not fight off his feelings for her and soon found himself Married to the Women of his dreams.
After 10 years of Marriage Kelly is taken from Shane in a Tragic accident while they are Ridding. Shane finds everything around him reminds him of Kelly, His home, his shop, even his Clubhouse. His Brother’s try to Support and comfort him, but the looks of sorrow in their eyes for him is more then Shane can bare. He soon realizes staying in the world He has Known and loved is not an option. Soon Shane is on his Iron Horse with the wind in his face and no destination! As Shane rides He finds the pain he feels for his loss begin to lessen!
With advice from a Mysterious Biker he keeps running into, Shane finds himself at a Micmac Indian Camp. Shane is welcomed into the Camp by the Tribes Chief and soon finds himself becoming Friends with the Chief’s Daughter Tia who has recently lost her Husband! While the two Share their pain they soon begin to feel something for each other. Is it possible for either of them to feel love again while still suffering from such a great loss? A member of Tia’s Tribe is taking no chances and tells Shane to stay away from Tia. He soon finds out you never tell a Biker like Shane what to do!
I found the writing in this novel while in no way simplistic was easy to read. I also found the story easy to follow ! Adelle “Legs” Laudan describes and expresses the feelings of Biker Brotherhood perfectly. When She explains Shane’s feelings while Riding you can see in your mind where he is and you can almost feel the wind in your Face!
In life we all have our worlds we live in, When something Terrible happens sometimes We cling to what We know. Shane does what He as a true Biker must after such a terrible loss, He goes out and finds not only a new life but a new World to live in for a while.
I have to say I enjoyed the story. It was not what I was expecting or would usually read but I found I could not put the book down. I think some Men who Ride will enjoy this book, While many I feel will find it a little too much of a Romance novel! I do believe almost all Women who has ever ridden a Motorcycle or dated a Man who rode one will love this Novel.
As I know now Adelle “Legs” Laudan is a writer of Motorcycle Romance Novels, She works to promote the image of Motorcycling one book at a time! To order Iron Horse Rider or other Novels by Adelle “Legs” Laudan including the upcoming Iron Horse Rider 2 go to http://adellelaudan.com/IronHorseRider.html

The Biker Lowdown Radio Show and American Biker X
I have felt and been a part of Biker Brotherhood almost all of my life. Growing up around My Father (Freelance Author on the Biker Lifestyle Pappy) and my Uncle Trey, I was taught what Biker Brotherhood was about from a very young age. As I grew up I heard many stories about the fun had at Parties, Runs and Rallies.
I also heard about protests (Mostly Helmet) I heard how Bikers were the last of the true Americans. I was taught Bikers believe in Freedom and are willing to fight for it at all costs! As I got older I attended many events and I rode allot.
I became active in Motorcycle Rights groups (mostly ABATE of NY) and I did my part to protect and promote the Biker Lifestyle, I wrote many articles in Biker Magazines and I DJed and MCed many Bike events helping to spread the word of Biker Rights.
In March of 2005 I became a Member of the Mortal Skulls MC and not long after I felt what it meant to be a part of a Motorcycle Club Brotherhood. I also got to know and learn from many members of other MC’s. The more I learned and the better I got to know these Men (the world referred to as 1%ers and Outlaws) the more I realized most of these people were the best people in the world, These are the Men who made and continue to make America great! I had heard many negative things about Motorcycle Clubs over the years and the more I was grew apart of the MC life the more I realized something needed to be done.
So my focus shifted from covering parties in Magazines to writing about true Biker Brotherhood. I realized one of the things negatively effecting the Motorcycle World is no one was teaching the younger generation of Motorcycle riders what it really means to be a Biker. The rules and codes of the road where all being lost, TV Show and Docudramas where teaching a Biker History that had no basis in reality. To this day I continue look up and write down as much truth of the history of Motorcycles and the Motorcycle Club world as I can.
I was getting the word out but I wanted a way to be able to speak to Bikers so they could hear my words and feel them expressed as they came from my heart! I knew I wanted to do some kind of Biker Talk Radio Show to help get the message out there. Every radio station I spoke with was either not interested or wanted some huge amount of money up front .
One day I learned about internet Radio! I learned I could do a live show that could be heard world wide on every computer and also all the shows would be archived so they could be heard anytime from the beginning just by clicking on them. I soon started a weekly show about a half hour long each Wednesday coming up with the name “The Biker Lowdown” The show started with just me talking to people about different things going on in the Motorcycle World.
Not long after the show started I was getting weekly calls from this Guy Chuck who called himself the Alpha Biker, Checking his webpage out I quickly learned both me and Chuck were cut from the same cloth and He became the Co-host of the Biker Lowdown.
Soon after thanks to the on air Chemistry and the great radio banter between me and Chuck the show started taking off. My good friend Bjorn took over as the online webmaster creating a webpage all could be proud of.
Hammerin Hank soon joined the Biker Lowdown clan as our Research Reporter. Things just kept getting better for the show.We started getting many great guests and even a few really big names of the Motorcycle world.
When Brenda Fox came on the show one night for an interview to talk about the world of Women’s Motorcycling, some where about five Minutes into the interview We all just knew We had a new member of the Biker Lowdown Family! I look forward to seeing what the Future brings for the Biker Lowdown Radio Show,
But for now I am Your Bro LJ James and I will see you on the Road!!!
LJ does a online Motorcycle Show each Wednesday LJ loves to help show the truth about the Biker Brotherhood and programs like Sons of Anarchy

Resourceful Tips For Your Car Stereo
Other avenue of car stereo sales are at expos and conventions. Most of the time, the good stuff come out at expos, be it a car expo, audio system expo, but usually the biggest car stereo sale takes place at a gathering of car audio producers. Well, at these kinds of expos and conventions, its not usually a sale because the manufacturers usually try to get buyers for their latest product. If you have the cash and you are out there to purchase some serious hardware, then by all means, SPLURGE AWAY!
There are two methods of mounting in a car stereo installation. ISO mounting is the mounting of the radio by screwing to existing factory radio brackets, such as the ones found in most Japanese cars. Ring mounting is the one found in aftermarket radio, which comes with a metal ring that gets mounted to the factory radio hole or aftermarket kit via bendable tabs. In many cars, dash and trim rings have to be filed to enlarge the radio hole. Once the ring is installed, the radio slides in and is held by snaps. In most cases, special tools are required to remove the radio.
Other useful tips which will help: Another way to get a discount car stereo is to SUBSTITUTE. Like cars, Japanese made units are often less expensive than German/European/American made units. Again, look at the basics. What is it that you need, as in the most BASIC FEATURES? Do you really need that mesmerizing LED display, or can you do without it? Goes for speakers too. If youre not going to enter a car audio competition and you just want to hear good treble and bass levels without making your speakers croak, maybe you can do away with a couple of 3way/4 way speakers. A big subwoofer will definitely need an amplifier, and those are already two things to purchase.
For unconventional speaker locations, sometimes metal has to be cut. You might want to leave this to the professionals, tools like plasma cutters and pneumatics drills are needed. However if you are going to insist, a pair of metal snips (left and right cut) will do.
Take a look at any good car stereo system and you will probably see a Pioneer car stereo unit plugged into the console. Alongside with quality speakers and a strong lineup of accessories like LCD panels and navigational devices, Pioneer products/Pioneer car stereos have earned a huge following the world over.
