Selling Your Old Car And Some Secret Tips

without comments

If you decide to sell your car to a dealer it is unlikely that you are going to get the best deal. If you think about the fact that a car dealer is not a charity then you may be able to understand this a bit better. You can be sure that most car dealers will be making quite a bit more for the car than they offer you. If you are smart about things you can sell your own car and make the type of money that the dealer receives. So if you are planning on selling your old car then the following are a few secrets which could help you to get more money for it.

- Make sure that you are ready to sell the car. Get all the documentation ready and have it cleaned fully inside and outside. You need to make sure you have the car ready for sale the minute you put it on the market. You could lose potential buyers if they arrive to see the car and things are not ready.

- Craigslist is one of the websites that you could use to advertise your car. Many people are choosing to buy and sell cars this way so you might want to take advantage of this option. This is probably the cheapest way of doing things, but the downside is that there are a lot of timewasters out there.

- Make sure that you ask for cash rather than a banker’s draft or a cheque. You know where you stand with cash and there is less chance of any funny business. If you have something like PayPal then that can work as well.

- Some of us just don’t want to go on a test drive with a complete stranger. One option is to hold their car keys while they test drive yours. But you have to make sure that they are actually driving their own car.

If the time has come that you should be searching out used cars, chances are you’ll find yourself a lot better off by extensively studying the vehicles which appeal to your interest. This homework enables you to find the best cars available for each group you look at. When your exploration is completed, you might very well find yourself with a great car dealers Swindon.

The Best Way To Get A Good Deal On A New Car

without comments

A new car is a huge investment and most of us will want to get the best possible deal. The state of the economy means that people are more careful these days and tend to look for bargains in a way that they didn’t just a few years back. Many new car sellers have become more reasonable in their pricing because they have been having difficulty selling their vehicles. If you show a car dealer that you are interested in buying a brand new car from him, you will see that they are very keen to make sure the sale goes through. The following are a few techniques that you can use to make sure that you are getting a good deal on a new car.

- Make sure you don’t appear too eager to buy. When they tell you the price, you should express some concern and show some scepticism. Don’t get carried away by the seller’s gift of the gab but do allow him to do most of the talking.

- Remember that car sales people are expert sellers, but you have to allow them to talk you into something. You will have more chance of getting a good deal if you hold off for as long as you can before agreeing to the sale. They will just think you are a pushover if you cave too quickly and you will have no chance of getting a good deal.

- You need to be aware that the seller has too prices on their mind; the amount they are going to try to get out of you and the lowest amount they are willing to go. It is up to you to try to get the lowest price.

- Until you are happy with the price, then it is wise not to talk about extras or freebies. Sellers often use free gifts as a ploy to distract customers from trying to get a better price. But you should only consider talking about free gifts when you are sure that you cannot get a better price.

Design development waits for no man and some of the breakthroughs of at present are totally astonishing. And none so more than in the automotive industry. And you only have to look at the progression in electric car. Fantastic innovations in electric vehicles like asx crossover to mention just some.

Car Dealers And The Top Questions To Ask

without comments

If you are considering purchasing a new car there will be a few questions that you will want answered. Before you make any decisions, the questions below should be asked of the car dealer.

- Do you offer any form of financing? Most of us can’t afford to purchase new cars outright so we depend on some type of financing. Most dealers will have their own promotions and you will want the one that offers you the lowest interest and most favorable terms. Always make sure that you fully understand the financing deal and assure yourself that there are no hidden costs.

- How much will I get for trading in my old car? Trading in an old car can save you the hassle of trying to sell it privately. However you need to know what price you might be likely to get for your old car before you decide to trade it in. But sometimes the price can be a joke and you may then decide that another place would give you a better price. If a seller thinks that the sale of the car hinges on the price you get for the trade in, they might up the offer.

- Will there be any extras provided with the car? Most car dealers will be willing to offer a few extras if you know how to bargain for them. In fact dealers are given plenty of free stuff which they can use for this purpose. What you need to be looking for are things like extended warranties, free polishing or cleaning and free oil changes.

- What is the total cost of the car? Sometimes the money you end up paying is quite a bit more than what the dealer originally quoted. The reason for this is because amounts will be added for certain things so you need to get a proper costing for the car before you decide to buy.

Technological advances today are often astounding. And none so more than in the automotive industry. Take all things to do with the colt specifications. Fantastic advances in colt cleartec and colt cars in general.

Get A Price Reduction On Your New Car

without comments

When you look for new cars, you will come across many car dealers who make silly statements like “this model is the latest one” etc. Some of these statements are true but most others are false.

Car dealers always seek ways to increase their profits and therefore try to conceal the fact that discounts are available on most cars after negotiations. The best strategy to combat these car dealers is to keep the issue of price negotiation till the end. It is not advisable to talk about the cost or new car discounts at the start.

Some buyers don’t find the approach logical, but this is one of the most powerful strategies for getting the best price. The reason for this is that the more time a sales consultant spends with you, the more he/she is committed to selling his/her product to you. For example, if a sales consultant spends time with you and explains the features and advantages of buying a new car, the chances of a sale increase considerably.

You may take a test drive and this makes them more committed to sell the car to you, as time and energy has been invested in explaining the benefits of buying that particular car. It is noted that a car dealer’s time and energy are precious at any level and this is one of the main reasons why you should know about the car first rather than talking about the price directly. Employees of a car dealership work for fixed hours every day and during this time, they have to achieve their daily sales targets. If they spend time with you, they are losing other customers during this time they would want to make the most of it, so that they earn their daily incentives. Whether you are looking for a new small car or a truck, this trick works the best with most car dealerships.

Since, you know about the car after a free consultation, you become a potential customer for the sales person, and this makes them even more committed to convert you into a real customer. This is why you should always talk about new car discounts at the end of the conversation. It is recommended, that you get all your answers and take a test drive of the car before you are in a position to buy the car. And moreover, there is no extra effort necessary for negotiating, so it is best if you give it a try.

Are You Safe Buying a Second Hand Car

without comments

A car is a huge part of everyone's reality these days, whether you are just driving socially or you commute to work on a daily basis a car is an true must have.A lot of people though cannot really afford to buy a brand new car, the cost for a zero car would be much more and as soon as you purchase it you know that you will never ever get your money back on it.

That's why people opt for buying second hand vehicles, but garages these days do not really care about the type of quality they give, instead they seem to only be in it to earn a quick buck. I do tend to find it a lot harder in trusting used car salesmen.

A personal experience I had myself was that I decided to get a little more expensive car as the old ones kept on breaking down on me. So I purchased this car on finance and a few weeks down the line it broke down on me, since then I have had nothing but problems and forked out a fortune to get it fixed.

I would have been much better off and save a fortune from my wallet by just buying a selection of new cars. I have to say used car salesmen just do not want to give you quality anymore so you can go back year after year. They simply want to just take your money from you. Basically they buy brand cars that have probably been in accidents or their engines have collapsed and then they fix them to a low quality and sell them on. This is just not acceptable in any form and something needs to be done about it.

Leasing is Better Than Buying

without comments

In this day and age cars are a necessity in everyone’s life, if you are relying on public transport then you should expect being late to anywhere you go. People just want to have the best cars around and they end up setting them back a huge amount.

But is it really worth buying a new car these days? Let’s have a look at the reasons that I am against it.
1.) Newer models of vehicles have been made not to last, so that after a few years you will need to go out and buy a new one.
2.) Even if the cars were built to last people are spread out all over the country, so basically people cover a lot more miles than they used to in the old days.
3.) Service parts for your car that will end up causing a fortune.

I remember when I first passed my test it was an amazing experience but I was driving a car built in 1985 and although this car had done a huge amount of miles, it never caused me any problems. Nowadays I purchase newer cars and they are forever causing me a life time of problems.

Folk like to own cars on finance because they cannot afford to pay a lump sum, but the problem with this is that manufacturers are clever, so the cars are created and by the time you pay them off they break and make you buy a new one.  So in my opinion car leasing is probably one of the best options you pay probably less than you would as a monthly rate for finance, then when your term is up you hand the car back and get a brand new one, plus avoiding all of the cost of repairs and break downs.

Great Mercedes car leasing or BMW car leasing.

Auction Car Sales Healthier Than Ever

without comments

The second hand car market is riding the storm well according to some big names in the car auction industry. This is in stark contrast to the new car market which has had a hole its hull for while and is sinking beneath the waves.

No one can argue that there is trouble in the new car market. Redundancies have been announced at 70% of the major car manufactures as the supply and demand cycle grinds to a crawl. Job losses have also come from the premium car makers Bentley which shows that no market level is safe from the poor economy. Official figures show a 30.9% fall in new car registrations according to the Society of Motor Manufactures in January as compared to the previous year. This happens to be the largest slump since the mid 70′s and the way things are going, no one would bet on an upturn for a while. Industry experts are suggesting that the new car market won’t see an upturn for at least three years.

The market for second hand card has not been hit so hard, in fact there have been suggestions that numbers are healthy. Two of the countries most well know auction houses, Manheim and BCA have come forward to state that they have seem some record numbers of cars being put up for bidding. BCA stated that more vans and cars were sold in Jan 2009 than any previous year and prices of vehicles have been on the rise for the last three months. An average of £300 increase on the previous years levels have been the estimated figure.

Van leasing and car leasing is also on the up it seems as the major leasers are reporting improving numbers this year. This is possibley a result of people making the choice to lease their vehicles during this slow economy rather than commit to purchasing them outright. Out of all the countries in the UK car leasing in Cardiff has seen the biggest boost.

Average wholesale van costs went up by close to £140 according to the other well known auction house – Manheim. The increase marks the first upturn since last year’s September. Cars with 4-wheel-drive have seen the best improvements in sales, with 6 consecutive months of increase.

2009 BMW 7 Series. Luxury supreme

without comments

The latest release by BMW in its very popular seven series seems to be the best to date – it’s truly way ahead of the pack in its class and is a luxury car with a capital “L” – in every sense of the word.

Power

Under the hood is bigger and better than any previous effort in the seven series – the 750iL boasts a mighty 400 horsepower (which is more than 40 more horses than before) and can rocket from zero to sixty in less than five seconds.  Although the miles per gallon of the new  4.4 liter V8 engine are a bit modest in terms of conservation (15 city and 23 highway), they are still competitive among the big boys in the luxury class.

Comfort

The new 750iL is big in terms of power, but the older versions often came under a lot of criticism when it came to the interior.  Larger bodied individuals often passed up previous cars in the seven series even though the power and handling were second to none, simply because they didn’t feel there was enough room for them in the cockpit.Yet another complaint about the previous model was that there was no seat adjustments to easily accomodate larger individuals.

BMW has reacted to criticisms of the previous model's interior by improving on the cab's head and leg room space. The arrangement of the control panel has also been made to please the driver.

BMW got the interior spot on with ergonomic design for comfort and ease of use.

Behind the Wheel

Incredible, almost space age options take the driving experience and the luxury car’s handling to unimaginable new levels. As ever the number of choices becomes more dream world like with each generation: night vision, side view cameras, rear wheel drive, and pedestrian detection.

There is improved anti-roll technology and individually operating electronic dampers to mention on the endless list of advances the car has made. The benefits of advanced electronics is that the car is become evident in the wet where the big 7 is up for the challenge.

BMW has always been a force to be reckoned with in the world of luxury cars, but even they seem to have outdone themselves with the new 750iL.This is a car that will make most owners proud of its looks and its dynamics. Certainly many will not mind the eighty thousand dollar tag.

Have the Car Industry Got it Wrong?

without comments

We all know that the car industry is in the midst of one of its worst financial times in its history. Although used cars are still widely being accepting, dealers are having trouble ridding of the new cars. The huge niche just blames it on the financial downfall and insists a saviour is the right approach and will rejuvenate a failing niche. But is this the truth or not? Or is there a bit more information lying behind the dark corners.

Well something needs to be performed about the collapsing market and I can tell you that it is not a government fund. Casting your mind over does it really cost thousands to manufacture a car. People have stated that cars are built in about 30 hours from start to end and cost around $3000 for each vehicle, which undoubtedly ends up selling for a profit of up to 90%.

Is this not the whole truth why this industry is failing? Because they are overcharging? Ok don't get me wrong to design a new concept and market the new car must cost a bit more. But when it comes to bulk manufacturing, these vehicles are just getting created and sold. The developers were trying to get too much profit by charging a fortune and this is why more expensive companies are finding it hard, like the Mercedes.

This is also why budget cars that do exactly the same job such as Fiats and Fords are still thriving in a below average market. They offer great quality for an affordable rate and manufacturers are still making a profit. I have driven a Fiat that feels exactly like the higher branded cars.
