Jaguar E Type A Top Car Pick

without comments

In the past, Jaguar, high class automobiles from England had small-sized and active features and high-performance were favorable. Their appearance looked sedan and suited the passengers who liked to get anywhere in a group. They suspected that there were plenty of trustafarian millionaires, and if they were to supply a sport-car model, they might have marketed quite well. At least, Jaguar had built its good reputation from the racing automobiles for a very long time, especially Le Mans twenty-four hours.

A lot of people said that Jaguar’s sport series which began to be known well and were reasonable might be XK series. XK 120 in the year 1948, followed up by XK 140 in 1955, and became XK 150 in 1957. They used quite modern engines that their competitors had not known. Modernization, streamline that made a gigantic positive impact on sport automobiles drivers, curved doors, and roadsters were the real style of sport cars.

Jaguar made its reputation in the Le Mans race course by a vehicle that had been showed in 1954, D-TYPE, which was 3.4liters, 245 horsepower. The opening production was considered extremely fast. Likewise , it was empowered by making it 270 horsepower for racing, and that made it three-years-in-a-row champion in 1955-1957. There would not be anyone that would not wish the dignity of Le Mans’ championship sport automobiles which later was extended to 3.8liters, 306 horsepower. It competed in United States and made so big effect on sport vehicles guru that made a newer model to drive in a street.

The manufacturer made a decision to make them sport series, and not involved with standard vehicles except the engines and systems used together in order to reduce the price of production. , E-TYPE Jaguar was influenced by XK series and D-TYPE. It was officially debuted in 1961, taking over XK 150, and finishing the new full sport style, which was the long front and short end according to the classic style sport cars.

The appearance of E-TYPE is brilliant like Italian sport vehicles. At the beginning, it had been made a decision to name as XK-E, but ultimately was E-TYPE, which looked more okay and newer than old XK series that had been used for many models. It had been decided to be 3.8liters, twin cam, then later on extended to be 4.2liters to make it right for the dimensions of the automobiles. The 3.8 liters one had been eventually stopped, till 1971 it was given a new 5.3liters, V12 engine to be an alternative choice for customers who were interested in pretty big block. The 4.2liters one’s production was ended in 1974.

If you would like to possess this model, you may need to consider if you are a millionaire or not because this type of classic cars cannot be found at any vehicle dealers. If you would actually need it, you check it out from a catalogue of vehicle auctioning company. You might be that lucky that someone would sell it.

The new Jaguar XF. A good alternative.

without comments

Speed and power that you can afford, well maybe not that everyone can afford – but when compared to its direct competition (the BMW M5 and the Audi RS6) the latest in the XF series from Jaguar is a downright bargain.Entry level model costs about $10 000 less that the M5 and almost $30 000 cheaper than the RS6. If only buyers could realise this as value for money.

Jaguar was in desperate need of putting out a car that would not just be competitive with others in the class, but that was capable of outshining them in terms or power and value.Jaguar was once as highly respectable brand but lately has been in danger of extinction. The XF is Jaguar's message that they want in on the action and are ready to take the punches.

Under the Hood

This is where the biggest news comes; the brand new supercharged V8 is all about power, and with tons of low end torque this beast is capable of comfortably and quietly rocketing from zero to sixty in less than five seconds. Many test drivers were not impressed by the sound effects generated by the supercharged engine: its was a little muted for a car in the class. The powerful engine is a too silent to the point of misleading the driver to exceed the speed limit.  The powerhouse 5.0 V8 tops out at 155 miles per hour with electronic limit in place but the big engine is capable of nearly 190 without any electronic impediments.

The acceleration is fast and smooth, with no jerking as the six speeds are navigated, making the driving experience a pleasure at any speed.

The performance and control of the new XF are quite a bit better than BMW’s pricier M5, it drives better in almost all day to day situations including reduced speed, heavy traffic and stop start – in fact the only thing that it doesn’t have on its more expensive classmate is a whole lot of unnecessary technological gadgetry.

Jaguar has replanted itself back among the leaders in class with the new XF – its super clean, super elegant and super powerful – all while coming in with a price tag that’s way below the competition.

Is there any reason not to choose the Jaguar XF over the BMW M5 or the Audi RS6?Not many - near perfect pricing on the Jag. For some price is really irrelevant in this range. For sure the Beemer still holds the top spot in most aspects in this segent. But for cheaper Jaguar you do not get a cheap car. The car does it job well.

Jaguar Speeds Hit an All Time High

without comments

In an undercover location is America, Jaguar state that they recorded their fastest speed to date.

Jaguar have been away in the revolutionary Benneville Salt Flats in Utah, America and have been testing the new XFR prototype. The test published that this is the fastest Jaguar ever hitting a top speed of 225.675 mph.

Using Jaguar’s new AJ-V8 Gen III engine this XFR smashed the previous record of 217.1 mph set by the XJ220 back in 1992. The XFR featured only small aerodynamic changes and some safety add ons that were essential for running in this desert. There was no inner parts changed throughout the engine and most other parts such as the gear box were left the same. The only changes were with the engine’s computer and some air intake modifications.

Mike O’Driscoll, Managing Director, Jaguar Cars said

“The all-new supercharged 510bhp XFR – and XKR – add a thrilling new dimension to the Jaguar line-up. We have sharpened the R models, fine-tuning them to deliver a totally focused experience for driving enthusiasts, with the new AJ-V8 Gen III engines delivering refined power and performance and unmatched efficiency.”

The driver Paul Gentilozzi added,

“During my career, I’ve raced worldwide from the southern tip of New Zealand to Le Mans. I have been privileged to drive and own so many nice cars but I've never had one that was as exciting to drive quick as this Jaguar.”

The new XFR is the first to get the ‘R’ badge it can go from 0 – 60 mph in just 4.seven seconds and is quite often electronically limited to 155 mph on the highway. This extra power is used between speeds 50 – 70 mph which will be achieved in only 1.9 seconds.

Jaguar are having something of a speed revival focusing on the performance of their vehicles. This year marks the 60th anniversary of Jaguar’s record breaking 132.6 mph run in the XK120 all the way in 1949.

Their ethos has been to build ‘Beautiful, fast cars.’ Recently they have been beautiful but now they are definitely fast. I will definatley look to buy a Jaguar now.
